I’m Back.
It’s been almost two weeks since I have written on this site. The break wasn’t intentional. My mother passed two weeks ago and understandably (I hope) I haven’t been feeling particularly inspirational or philosophical.
I have spent my time “off” reconnecting with friends, family, and myself. I watched my daughter perform in her theater camp’s presentation of Heather’s and carted my son back and forth to football camp (I also serve as the team photographer).
I have been writing more personal pieces on Facebook (which is actually underrated as a blogging space) and Medium (which I have come to have mixed feelings about). And, in addition to my Pop Warner photography, I have been shooting semi-consistently.
I have also begun a larger project that is way too early to speak about at this point.
That said, it is time for me to get back to normalcy which includes this site. My mother was my biggest fan and advocate when it came to my writing. She’d be the first to tell me to get out of the mud and get back to what I love.
